Since this is a time for the smaller smokes, here are some you may have forgotten about. The JR Ultimate is a great value cigar but many people don’t know that you can get it in a perfect winter size. Yup it comes in a Petit Cetro at 5.5” x 38. That is the Maduro version, but the Petit Cetro also comes in EMS, Natural and Oscuro. The cigars themselves are Connecticut Broadleaf binder with Honduras fillers and the wrapper changes from the Connecticut Broadleaf for the Maduro, Ecuador Sumatra for the EMS, the Natural uses Connecticut Shade and the Oscuro has Connecticut Broadleaf.
Another smaller smoke for the winter is the El Credito El Perrito or little dog measuring 5.5” x 38. The cigar was meant as a price point good cigar with lots of flavor. In fact, this was one of the cigars that the rollers in Santiago made for themselves to smoke. When Michael Giannini came out with it he said it was one you could grab a handful of. MSRP is just over $2 each but they are less than that (about a buck and a half). The wrapper is Habano grown in Ecuador and the binder if Connecticut Broadleaf with fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
