  1. Remove the cigar from the cellophane
  2. Roll the cigar lightly between your fingers and listen for crackling
  3. If there is a lot of crackling it is dry and needs to be kept in a humidor
  4. Next gently squeeze the foot (bottom portion) of the cigar
  5. If the foot is slightly spongy it is well humidified, if it is hard it is dry and needs to be humidified.
